Bequests/Gifts

Leaving a bequest can provide considerable tax relief for your estate. Project Canoe will issue a charitable donation receipt for the value of your gift. This receipt can be used to offset income tax owing by your estate.

Consider a bequest in the form of:

• A lump sum

• A percentage of your estate

• Real estate

If you Already Have a Will
It's not too late to add a bequest even if you already have an up-to-date will. For a small legal fee, you can add a codicil, or an amendment, to your existing will. Contact your legal advisor for more information.
